The suggestions about my problem in Adobe's online support have not worked. Here is my problem - When I scan a photo into photoshop all my icons work fine until I save the photo. Then the icons disappear. The only way to get them back is to re-install photoshop. Any help will be greatly appreciated. thank you.

To save time, I often scan in .jpg format, edit in digital image photo software and save the edited .jpg file in the .tiff format to retain the highest quality possible. If the slide is especially precious to me, I scan in .tiff. Here's a link to the Proshow Gold slideshow software I use.
